Rosario Monetti was born in Naples Italy, studied music and opera singing first with international
opera singer Tenor Marcello Ferraresi, then he continued his studies under the guide of
Soprano Sandra Lepore from the Conservatory of Music S.Pietro a Majella in Naples.
In 2000 his study continued under the supervison of the Tenor, Pianist and Music Director of the
Conservatory of Music, Giovanni da Palestrina in Cagliari.
He also in 2006 studied and perfected his singing technique with worldknown Soprano Katia
Ricciarelli in Tuscany.
He has performed as soloist and member of an accapella choir of Musica Antica for several
years all over Italy and Europe.
As singer he performs a wide variety of music genres, from opera, to Jazz, Swing ect.
Resides in San Diego California since 2009 where he performed and still performing in most of
the main venues and italian festivals in South California.

As Music Director of the San Diego Italian Film Festival he supervise and takes care of all the
music aspects of the film festival concerning the music and performers strictly related to the
movies showed during the whole festival season.
As Music Director of the Convivio Italian Heritage Association he supervise and organize the
entire event and concert calender throughout the whole year performing himself and bringing on
stage among the most acclaimed musicians of the San Diego music scene and beyond.
